Unsure of how to manage Insulin Resistance?

Initially, insulin resistance presents no symptoms. The symptoms only start to appear once it leads to the secondary effects such as higher blood sugar levels :: Symptoms that may appear in people with insulin resistance include: - lethargy - hunger - weight gain around the middle - high blood pressure - high cholesterol levels :: Studies indicate that replacing saturated fat with polyunsaturated or monounsaturated fats may improve insulin sensitivity, but only if total fat is controlled :: Choosing carbohydrate foods that are low in the glycaemic index may also have a beneficial effect, especially when combined with reduced kilojoules and regular exercise 🏃🏼‍♀️ :: If you have concerns regarding your insulin sensitivity make an appointment with an Accredited Practising Dietitian at The Medical Nutrition Clinic
